summer time in the not so city

Hey Everyone-

I know its been a long time, I can't say its not for lack of trying but for real I had lots of things happening. Where do I start?

I have also officially switched positions at work, I am now the Supervisor of the Outreach Department, which is pretty amazing... I find the department fascinating and intriguing it really is the face of NEKCA(place I work) it does almost everything except ask if "you want fries with that?" (I know Corny; it makes me laugh). I am happy with my decision to leave Youth Services but it is also a place where I learned a great deal and I think even made lasting work relationships. Heck my boss even let me go to New Orleans with them still for my old position. It was a great deal of fun rolled into 5 very long days. New Orleans aka NOLA as my co-worker says was an interesting city, it was dirty, crazy, and yet rich with history and beauty.. I will go back someday, its a goal :)

Since I last wrote we have lost a member of our family, Jones our newest member has disappeared. Its been many weeks and still no sign. Its been a sad time for us but in the end he was just as much as an adventurer as Indie and I am sure put up quite a fight with whatever may have come his way...

Now back to whats been going on here at the Brittell "Compound"(my father in-laws words), Justin and I found out when my surgery is, I will be having laproscopic surgery on August 14th. I am super nervous as I have never had a real surgery (stiches don't count). I look forward to getting good news and hoping that this might solve our "infertility" issues so I to can have a baby bump soon :) Other then that we have had many projects going at our house like stone walls and walk ways, our bountiful veggie garden, swimming with our yellow lab, and just getting our basement offically finished (will show pictures soon). I look forward to all the many more things that will be coming up...
On a happy note I am sweating balls since VT has had one heck of a warm summer thus far... 80+ degrees and humid is not VT weather.... So Here is to VT finally having a Warm Summer!!
